Greenwich Giants baseball

We are a community baseball club based in southeast London, founded in 2024 and affiliated with the British Baseball Federation. The club offers weekly sessions throughout the year for children aged 4–12 (girls and boys), as well as for women & girls 12+ and mixed adults, with a focus on inclusive, skills-based, family-friendly sport.

The Greenwich Giants are based at the University of Greenwich’s Avery Hill Campus, SE9 2UG — see where to find us.

Our vision

Our vision is to be a family-centred club, serving as a hub for baseball activity across South East London. Our objective is to encourage children to take up baseball, to build a legacy in southeast London, and to inspire a new generation of baseball players.

As set out in our Constitution, the aims of the club are to:

  • offer coaching and competitive opportunities in baseball
  • promote the club and baseball within the local community
  • ensure a duty of care to all members of the club
  • provide all its services in a way that is fair to everyone
  • be open to all, with youth/junior baseball playing a strong role.

Governance

The club is led by an eight-member managing committee, including three executive officers (chair, secretary, treasurer). Committee members meet every two weeks and report on the year’s activities at the club’s Annual General Meeting, usually held in November.
